For a hoodlum, he’s got a level head on his shoulders.

After being in a knife fight, our subject, Raymond Martin found that he had been stabbed in the throat, and visited the local hospital. When the hospital involved the police, our man Raymond declined assistance, stating “I messed with someone I shouldn’t have and got what I deserved.” and walked off into the night.
Personally, I applaud Raymond. If this had been the average ne’er-do-well, not only would he have stayed for state provided assistance, he would have by now filed a lawsuit against the opponent for the injury, the hospital for malpractice and the police for harassment and wrongful arrest. Raymond on the other hand realized that he shouldn’t be involved in knife fights. Either that or he was packing a bag of crank and didn’t want to get into any more trouble than he already found himself.
Regardless of his motivation, I say good job! We should consider putting Raymond on a speaking circuit with stops at jails and prisons where he can teach the residents the benefits of personal accountability.
As an added bonus, we don’t have to worry about Raymond lodging a frivolous slip-and-fall claim while touring.
