APC Mag asks the hard questions.

APC Mag wants to know if “Vista has lost it’s credibility“.

I want to know when Vista had credibility.

Seriously.  I’ve talked to people that it’s working fine for but on the other hand, corporations, counties, states, even small countries are refusing to upgrade.  The number of reported bugs for an OS that took 7 years to be released is mind boggling.

Still doubtful?  Read the linked article.  It will introduce the 158 emails from MS developers that couldn’t agree on what Vista could run on, hardware wise.  They couldn’t make the requirements realistic, as they’d put themselves out of reach of their customer’s wallets.  They instead made the requirements so low that the computers couldn’t effectively run the OS in a real world environment.

I’ve seen the installs at the stores.  On the discount systems, Vista ran like it was trapped in an aquarium full of molasses.

Everyone gets to choose for themselves what they want to run as an OS.  For my Windows requirements, I went out and bought two XP licences when Vista was released.

Because although you have a choice concerning what you run as an OS, we all know Vista is crap.
