Who here can picture the type of person it would take to be a hitman?  I think we all can, thanks to many movies and news segments concerning the topic.

Now, with that image in mind, who can picture said hitman busily texting away on his iPhone, offering you a chance to live for a few thousand dollars?

If you can, some scammers would like to chat with you.  No wait, they want to kill you, but will beg off if you pay them.

In today’s world, if there is a chance, however remote, that someone might make a dime without doing any work, you can rest assured that they have already exploited the situation to the best of their ability.  The latest trend is texting random people telling them that you’re a hitman paid to kill them but are giving them the chance to pay you more money not to get whacked.

I’ve no doubt that there are people that have fallen for this.  I mean, how would you tell if they were truly hitmen that were monitoring you?

Well, you could ask them to tell you what shirt you were wearing.  Or maybe what car you drive.  Actually, any identifying feature of your life besides your phone number would do.

As long as we have people that are too stupid to see the obvious, we will have lazy pieces of shit that monopolize on that fact.
