I didn’t know you could copyright “asinine”.

A debate has sprung up concerning whether Twitter posts should be protected under copyright.

For those of you that haven’t had the pleasure of coming across it, Twitter is a micro-blogging system in the fact that you are only allowed 140 characters per post.

To put this into perspective, the previous sentence exceeds Twitter’s post restriction.  It’s got 25 characters too many.

Songbird just released ver. 1.1 of their media player.   It’s already replaced Foobar as my media player and it makes the loss of Amarok a little less painful.

A little less.

The recording industry is mad.  Steaming mad.  The people with the hearts of gold got taken for a ride yet again by the nefarious villains that always manage to pull the wool over their eyes.

You see, they signed contractual agreements with the makers of “Rock Band” and “Guitar Hero” allowing them to use the music in the video games.  They just didn’t realize that the games would be popular(sound familiar?  It should).  Oh, and they didn’t realize that the music would be an integral part of the game.

Irony, thy name is Microsoft.

Because they’re the leaders in standards compliance, they want to help you develop your web pages for those other browsers.  You know,  the ones that don’t render web pages correctly.

The guys in Redmond released the information on their latest web dev app: the Expression Web SuperPreview.  Before I go any further, I want to say that they should fire the 4 year old that names their applications.  I don’t care if they have to create a compensation package including “Wet Ones” and a transition day-care package, there has to be limits to how uninspired a name can be.

It’s truly comical that the company whose name web developers the world over curse while coding HTML is the very entity to help you view how poorly their browsers render code alongside browsers that render it correctly.

The next thing you know, they’ll be unveiling an open source code repository.

For a while, the doctors at the Naval and VA hospitals called what I have Gilles de la Tourette’s syndrome.  They later changed their minds.  A few times.  If you read the latest entries in my medical history, you will find that I have “organic brain trauma”.

The story behind it all is quite boring but the point I’m leading to is the fact that I have vocal and motor tics.  Sometimes they’re bad and sometimes, thanks to different medicines, they’re almost indistinguishable.  It depends on what kind of day I’m having.

If you have to have an affliction of some kind, tics are the way to go.  Squeaks,  blinks and grunts are much more preferable than your body shutting down as it does with Parkinsons disease.  Although it can make social settings a little uncomfortable, it’s not that big of a deal.  In fact, I’ve spent quite some time thinking that you can make some money having fun at your own expense.
