Well hey there schwim. This is “rerushg” from the 2007 FF days before they went fascist. Good to see you’re still out here in the ether. Nice little site you’ve got here.
As to the subject at hand: yup, more MS BS. I’m not even sure they’ even want to be in the software business anymore. But they’re in the enviable position where people will mindlessly clothespin their noses and shovel MS sh1t into their box. Ain’t it funny how we Americans are so easily led, despite our pseudo-frontier mentality of freedom and independence?

I’m wandering how big his nose grew during the speech. Heck, aren’t there laws against telling lies in public like that? You gotta appreciate the balls of the MS marketroids trying to get some small benefit from an otherwise unmitigated disaster: ‘The pain inflicted by Vista was a calculated decision that we took with the user’s best interests at heart’. Reminds me of a few others: ‘Read my lips, no new taxes’ …. ‘I did not have sexual relations with that woman’ …. ‘I believe that nicotine is not addictive’ …. and my personal favourite, ‘By 1990, no child will live in poverty’.

You know, while they’re at it, Microsoft ought to try this porkie, too: ‘Windows Genuine Advantage is designed purely to ensure the best user experience possible’. Oh wait, they already do.

On the bright side, an Australian inventor won a US$388 million patent lawsuit against Microsoft today. That’s only 8 days’ worth of MS profit, though.
