BTW, have you heard about this new OS from Google? I think they’re going to call it “Chrome” like the browser. I’m sure you could find a few articles about it on the ‘net if you look around.

I suppose that those who waste neuro-time on the — “grabbing MS by the throat” theory, or the “anti-antitrust conspiracy in cahoots with MS” theory, or the “that which looks like conspiracy is usually just stupidity” theory — will beat us to death with words trying to sort all this out.

It might have something to do with the developers of a certain OS paying extortion money to assuage their fears that they’d be sued by those with endless resources. Maybe the rest of the community is waiting like a calf at a slaughterhouse, under the assumption that the same people behind the SIIA video will be making one for treading on MS IP.
I’ve about damn given up on linux “communities”. It seems they’re disinterested in anything more than the top 40 topics of the day when it comes to idle chat. I find myself trolling discussion forums like a man picking up a hooker. I know I don’t literally fit the description of the type of person to join donkeykongandlatexenthusiasts.com, but they have stimulating discussion, so I make some concessions.
