It’s no secret that those serving as active duty members of the armed forces don’t think much of their reservist brethren. It’s completely unfounded and nothing more than machismo born of ignorance and jealousy. Those in the reserves are as much a cog in the military as those serving actively.
On a completely unrelated note, U.S. Army Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook, when finding out he was getting deployed to Afghanistan, filed a lawsuit in an attempt to keep from having to go.
His stated reason is because Mr. Obama, having been born in the state of Hawaii two years after it’s induction into the US is not an American citizen and is therefore unable to tell him to go.
Oddly, Major Cook was ok cashing his government paycheck when it didn’t involve risking his life. Only when tasked with deployment did he decide to make his brave stand against the domestic terrorist barricaded at 1600 Penn. Ave.
Semper Fi, Major Cook. We need more brave people like you.
