I thought they were going to try something “new”.

by on Jul.27, 2009, under Humorous

In an effort to win back some of the readers that are ditching formal news sites, The New York Times is going to implement Addictionary, a system that creates fake words and creates definitions for them, through user input.

While others view it as something new for the news sites, I see it as just an extension.  They’ve been printing fake news for ages.  Why not throw a couple made up words in there as well?

Sir, if I am of any influence to you, be it good or bad, you need to reevaluate your life. I’m serious about this. You’re in deep shit.

That being said, I’ll be back to spreading my ill-informed ridicule upon unsuspecting and newsworthy targets in no time. I’ve reached the low in my cynicism cycle, and hope to be able to write without disgusting myself in the process in no time.

Blame the spammers’ lack of ingenuity. I do.
