Two officers tried to catch a llama….

I know.  This could be a great start for a joke.  Stick with me though.

They tazed it.

Twice.

Then they shot it.

From the article:

The deputies each shot the adult llama with their Tasers, but it had no effect, Amazi said. One deputy shot it with a firearm, but the animal continued to elude them, she said.

If you ever taze a llama twice before shooting it, don’t be surprised if it doesn’t come to you when you call it.

So why go to all the trouble of tazing and shooting a llama?

“It’s causing a traffic issue” and eating flowers and garden plants, Amazi said.

That’s some mighty fine police work there, Lou.

There are some people that completely miss the tenet or ethos of a belief they hold dear to their heart.  Rarely is it as humorous as this, however.

Main Entry: fem·i·nism

Pronunciation: \ˈfe-mə-ˌni-zəm\

From Wikipedia:

It involves various movements, theories, and philosophies, all concerned with issues of gender difference; that advocate equality for women; and that campaign for women’s rights and interests.

I got a kick that the spamming process matched an avatar of a fat kid with the identity of someone selling you the secret to weight loss.

In a move that should scare the living hell out of every 12 year old that has written nasty things about their classmates on the bathroom wall, a judge has ruled that you don’t deserve your privacy if you’re going to use it to say nasty things about people.

Someone was using a blog to bash current and has-been models in the New York area, which kind of ticked Liskula Cohen, since she was one of the targets.  She decided to sue to find out who was calling her a skank, ho and psychotic.

The CDC did a study and found that the average computer gamer is 35, fat and depressed.

I was totally going to rip this apart  until I realized that I’m 3435,  fat… and well, if you’ve read any posts on the site, you’ve got a good idea of my inner workings.

Kind of spooky, really.

edit: I’m 35.  Now, not only am I to fear their omniscience, I have the additional burden of knowing that I can’t count.

This is the first legitimate thing I’ve found Twitter being used for. Hackers have begun utilizing Twitter to control bot-nets, posting encrypted URL’s to other control and info centers that infected computers monitor to retrieve updated data.  As more people come to realize that Twitter is something you use in lieu of having a life, it’s refreshing to see it get used to it’s full potential.  Between this and the recent DDoS attacks on the service, it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.

Morrisey would like to ask you not to purchase the boxed edition of his music being released by EMI.  All of the listener-rights blogs picked it up and ran with it as another example of an artist championing the rights of the listener. From the linked article:

that he wouldn’t receive any money from the reissues, released on November 2,

“Morrissey does not approve such releases and would ask people not to bother buying them. Morrissey receives no royalty payments from EMI for any back catalogue, and has not received a royalty from EMI since 1992.”

and in case you’re not clear on his stance:

“Morrissey last received a royalty payment from Warners ten years ago and, once again, he would ask people not to bother buying the reissued LPs or CDs.”
