Years of teaching children where the Big Mac button was on registers has finally paid off.  Corporate America has finally created the perfect employee.

A Florida bank refuses to cash a check for a man because of the lack of a thumbprint.  The lack of a thumbprint is due to the man’s lack of hands.  The manager stated he could open an account himself or have his wife come down to cash the check since she had an account there…. and she had thumbs.

I’ve come across some humorous incidents involving people that can’t or won’t risk thinking for themselves, but this one tops the list.  At what point does your fear of responsibility overshadow your compassion and sense of humanity?  Well, for this branch manager, it’s when your employer tells you that a person cashing a check needs to provide a thumbprint.

I can almost smell the french fries on them.
