You see, they signed contractual agreements with the makers of “Rock Band” and “Guitar Hero” allowing them to use the music in the video games.  They just didn’t realize that the games would be popular(sound familiar?  It should).  Oh, and they didn’t realize that the music would be an integral part of the game.

Or they would have asked for a lot more money.  Since they can’t turn back the hands of time, they’ve simply decided to refuse to license any future games of this type unless the percentage paid is much higher.

So there.  Neener, neener.

I can see how they could have been boondoggled.  The names  “Rock Band” and Guitar Hero” are so ambiguous that you really have no idea the extent that they will utilize the music in their game.

I want to thank all of you purchasing music via new cds and outlets like i-tunes for making this possible.  Otherwise, I’d have nothing fun to write about.
