The recording industry is mad. Steaming mad. The people with the hearts of gold got taken for a ride yet again by the nefarious villains that always manage to pull the wool over their eyes.
You see, they signed contractual agreements with the makers of “Rock Band” and “Guitar Hero” allowing them to use the music in the video games. They just didn’t realize that the games would be popular(sound familiar? It should). Oh, and they didn’t realize that the music would be an integral part of the game.
We shall baffle them with our patented and closed source bullshit.

Microsoft would like to share their source code with the FOSS crowd. Well, not really. What they would like is for some of the FOSS crowd to use some of their code. Then they would like to point out that their code was never actually open source. It was more of a look-but-don’t-touch license. It’s like a lawsuit machine covered in open source gift wrap.
